My living room is about 12 feet from couch to TV and I'm debating between 65 and 75 inch. Everyone online says go bigger but I'm worried 75 will be overwhelming and I'll be turning my head to see the whole screen. The price difference is significant too, 65 inch decent TVs are like 500-700 on Black Friday but 75 inch jumps to 900-1200 even on sale. I watch a lot of sports and movies so bigger might be better for immersion but I don't want to drop extra money on something that's uncomfortably large. Also concerned about picture quality at 75 inches, seems like you need to spend more to get the same quality as a smaller TV or it looks pixelated and washed out.
For people with 75 inch TVs in normal sized rooms, did you get used to it or does it still feel too big? And are Black Friday deals on 75 inch TVs actually competitive or do you end up paying close to regular price anyway because the discounts are minimal?

Seems like there are quite a few complaints about Samsung. Is it because of picture quality or issues with longevity? If purchasing from a retailer with an extended warranty, does that mitigate the risk with Samsung? I've had Samsung televisions in the past (and currently) and have generally been happy with them. So, my base would be to look at one of the BF deals that are available. But, open to being convinced to try another brand.
