So I was playing around with the Blackbox AI App Builder the other day, and honestly… I didn’t expect it to be this smooth.
I just described the app idea: “I want a simple to-do list app with dark mode and drag-and-drop support, and it literally spits out a working app in minutes. It gives you code + a working preview.
What I really liked:
-
Zero setup needed - You don’t have to install anything or set up environments. Just describe what you want, and it builds it.
-
Live preview - It generates and shows your app right there. Makes testing ideas super fast.
-
Multi-feature prompts - You can keep refining it like “add a login page” or “make it mobile responsive,” and it just... does it.
-
Great for non-devs or frontend noobs - I feel like even non-coders could build MVPs with this.
Some honest feedback:
-
It’s not perfect. The code needs cleanup sometimes, especially if your prompts get too complex.
-
You might still need to tweak UI/UX manually if you're picky.
-
I wish it had export options for React Native or backend APIs, but maybe that’s coming?
Overall:
It’s seriously helpful for:
-
Quick prototypes
-
MVP testing
-
UI ideas without wasting time coding from scratch
Has anyone else tried the App Builder yet? What’s the coolest app you’ve built with it?
And what feature would you love to see added?
Just wondering Is anyone actually using the mobile app a lot? Or do you mainly use the desktop site for coding?
I’m trying to see which one’s more useful in real life. What’s your experience been like?
