I hate the image of the first "all female crew" flight is on a craft derided as billing a billionaire's dick, and it is his fiancée that is a featured rider. Why is there such intense criticism of the latest crewed NS flight with Katy Perry, Lauren Sanchez and other successful women on board?
Blue Origin's New Shepard has carried other tourists before with passengers such as William Shatner, Jaison Robinson, Mário Ferreira, all of whom were also rich but didn't face the criticism of this all women flight?
I don't want to jump to conclusion but could the gender of the participants be the real reason for the criticism here?

The big thing is Katy Perry made a big ol’ deal out of it which drew a lot of ire from people. People feel she was making too big a deal outta it and also not really happy with her claiming to be an “astronaut” simply cuz she rode in the vehicle.
