r/cpanel on Reddit: Cpanel webmail bluehost
November 4, 2024 -

I recently built my first WordPress website, hosted with Bluehost, and as a beginner (sorry for stupid questions), I’m working on setting up email via cPanel webmail. However, my emails to Outlook addresses keep going to spam. Should I consider other tools for sending email instead of using cPanel directly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there! If the host has given you control of the DNS, make sure you have SPF and DKIM records configured. You can do this through the cPanel >> Email Deliverability page, and that will attempt to setup the records for you if the local server controls the DNS. If not, you can manually copy over the records to wherever the DNS is controlled. You may also need to create a DMARC record as well: https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/360055638973-How-to-build-a-DMARC-record Many users find it easier to use an external email service than to manage things on the server itself, but that is entirely up to you and your configuration.

Congratulations on building your first WordPress website! The issue of emails going to spam can often be improved by adjusting a few settings. Here are some suggestions to help enhance your email deliverability: Set Up SPF and DKIM Records: Ensure you have SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) records configured in your DNS settings. These records help verify that your emails are being sent from a legitimate source. Detailed instructions on how to set these up can be found in our help center. Check Email Content: Review the content of your emails to avoid triggering spam filters. Be cautious with the number of links and images you include, and ensure that your subject lines are clear and straightforward to avoid being marked as spam. Monitor Email Bounce Rates: Keep track of any bounce-back messages you may receive, as they can provide valuable insights into why your emails might be landing in spam folders. Regularly Clean Your Email List: Ensure that you’re sending emails to engaged recipients. Regularly cleaning your email list by removing inactive addresses can help improve your sender reputation. Test Your Emails: Consider sending test emails to different email providers (like Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook) to see how they are handled. This can give you a better idea of any potential issues. If you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please feel free to contact our support team. Additionally, you can check our Knowledge Base article on "Spam Prevention" for more tips on improving your email deliverability. We're dedicated to helping you optimize your website and email configuration. Wishing you all the best, and thank you for choosing Bluehost as your hosting provider!

r/webhosting on Reddit: How do I find my cpanel login information?
April 27, 2024 -

Hi all. I'm trying to find out how I get my cpanel login information. I don't exactly need it, as up to now every time I log into cpanel, I just click a button in my hosting provider account (nixihost or hostgator) and click a button that says "login to cpanel" or "file manager". This works just fine, but if I just go to domain.com/cpanel, I have no clue what my login information. I guess I don't exactly need it, but I'd honestly just like to know how to get this information.
