Hi I'm going on a long 10-day trip with a rented car next month. I don't have my own car where I live, I rarely drive. I am also more old-fashioned and used to vehicles with CD or even cassette players so I genuinely don't really know how the whole bluetooth thing works. I have an app on my phone where I've kept all the songs I've downloaded in recent years but I need some kind of connector between them and the bluetooth system which will likely be installed in the rented car. Are there any good apps that you can suggest?
If you must know, the car will be a Toyota Aygo with automatic transmission.
I want to install a bluetooth receiver inside the center console of my car, and have it simply activate when power comes on, and disconnect when power goes off. Does anyone know a good unit that is reliable and won't need me to dig in to the center console all the time to reset or adjust?
I recently bought a 2010 Subaru Outback, which has a "handsfree" voice calling feature that allows the car to connect to your device (in my case an iPhone) via bluetooth. However, once the device is connected by bluetooth, it works only for voice calls, and not to stream music, or for hands-free calls using WhatsApp. What's going on that creates this limitation? Is it something that can be changed by, say, updated the software? I know nothing about bluetooth, to be clear...
