Like it was mentioned already, BT will be the limiting factor but also the audio compression codec used by your calling app (Teams, Zoom etc.) You'll get better results with a headset that has a boom mike, stay away from the ones with the microphones built into the ear cups, they will make you sound even more muffled to the other party. Since you want wireless, here's the three setups that have boom mikes I've used: Airpods Max with a wireless Antlion mod mic (attaches magnetically to the ear cup) - best option for sound quality and noise suppression or transparency for you, but obviously not within the budget amount you've mentioned. Jabra Evolve 75 - overall a good option, comes with a USB dongle for your computer which is way more stable and easier to use than regular BT (which it also has). You'll sound just fine to the other party and it even has some rudimentary active noise cancellation. Good option overall, I don't like use it though because I hate not being able to hear myself when I speak, so I always used to shift one ear cup sideways to open up an ear so I could hear myself clearly. The battery life is amazing, they'll easily last the whole day and then some. Also have multipoint connection, ie they'll connect via the dongle to your laptop and via BT to your phone or tablet, and you can seamlessly switch between the two. Great set if you don't mind not hearing yourself clearly while talking. Shokz Opencomm 2 UC - a bone conduction set, meaning that the sound is not produced by a speaker sitting on or over your ear, but by two fully enclosed transducers which sit on your temples in front of your ears. Pluses - comes with a USB (type A or type C) dongle so super stabled and no hassles with dropped BT connectivity or Teams decided to switch to your laptop mic and speakers after an update or a restart. Because your ears are not obstructed in any way, you have full auditory awareness of what's going on around you, this can be a plus or a minus depending on your environment and preference. The headset is super lightweight and you can barely feel it after a while. Also the battery lasts all day. The minuses - again, no sonic isolation or active noise cancelling for obvious reasons, the sound quality is great for speech but not so much for music since they're optimized for the vocal dynamic range. Also, some people report that they experience discomfort wearing them - I can see where that is coming from but I am used to wearing them. Overall, their pros definitely outweigh the small cons for me and this is now the headset I use for daily calls while working from home pretty much full time. Answer from Uncleeegz on reddit.com

Wireless Headphones with a good microphone. Is it just really hard to do?
Physics and also the limitation of bluetooth. Bluetooth cannot transmit high quality 2-way audio, so everything is in low quality over bluetooth. If you want a wireless headset for video calls look into wireless gaming headphones that has a stick microphone and connect using a USB dongle instead of bluetooth. More on reddit.com

r/HeadphoneAdvice on Reddit: Bluetooth headphones with the best microphone for taking calls?
December 20, 2023 -
I wanted to ask what the best options are when im looking for a pair of bluetooth headphones that have a good mic suitable for calls. My budget is 225 USD. And yes know that i would get better sound for cheaper with a wire but they have to be wireless.
When i looked into this i found that bose (specifically the Bose 700) is supposed to have very good microphones but i also wanted an outside opinion.
Thanks :D
