Credit Card for Student
Thoughts on Student BMO CashBack® Mastercard® ?
BMO CashBack Mastercard for Students or SimplyCash Card for American Express
Your numbers are off for Amex. It’s either 99 a year or you only get 2.5% promotional rate for 3 months (150 back max) and 1.25% after for the free card.
I’d go with BMO is you don’t want to pay the annual fee. Though I personally have the paid SimplyCash (Preferred) and it’s my most favorite card ever.

Help! I have an emergency with my BMO CashBack Mastercard*.
What’s a cash back credit card?
J’ai besoin d’aide! J’ai une situation d’urgence avec ma carte Mastercard BMO Remises.
The Student BMO CashBack® Mastercard® seems like a good option for me as a uni student, 3% cashback on groceries, 1% on recurring payments, and 0.5% on everything else. I have never owned a credit card before so is this a good option for my situation as a student? Any catches to this card? Or are there any better ones out there? This seems like the best one compared to TD, CIBC and others.
Hey I’m looking at getting my first credit card to start building my credit, I currently bank with TD and make about 15-18k a year living at home and am going to college. I was looking at either getting the TD student rewards card or the platinum travel visa. I was just needing some help deciding on which one. I’m open to suggestions on different bank recommendations for credit cards as well thank you
Edit: I will probably spend around 500-1000$ a month
