I did the b&b for our Barndo. Hopefully they have made it a bit more rigid to compensate the “oil canning” effect. I love the look of it but it has various states depending on the temperature. When it’s really cold, I have “dimples” in mine that are conforming to the girts. I’m not particularly happy with what it’s doing but the landscaping will soon hide it and most people don’t notice.

I haven't personally used board & batten metal siding, but I've done some research on it and can share insights based on what I've found: Appearance: Board & batten metal siding offers the rustic charm of traditional wood siding but with the durability and low maintenance of metal. It provides a sleek and modern aesthetic while mimicking the classic look of board & batten wood siding. Durability: One of the significant advantages of metal siding is its durability. It's resistant to rot, pests, and weather damage, ensuring a long-lasting exterior for your home. Cost: While the initial cost of board & batten metal siding may be higher than traditional wood siding, it often pays off in the long run due to its longevity and minimal maintenance requirements. Additionally, metal siding can offer energy-saving benefits, potentially lowering heating and cooling costs over time. Installation: Metal siding typically requires professional installation to ensure proper fitting and to maximize its benefits. However, the ease of installation compared to wood siding may help offset labor costs. Variety: Several manufacturers offer board & batten metal siding in various colors, finishes, and profiles, allowing homeowners to customize the look to suit their preferences and architectural style. If you're considering board & batten metal siding for your home, I recommend reaching out to manufacturers or local contractors for samples and quotes. They can provide more detailed information on the product's features, cost, and installation process based on your specific needs.
