I have heard great things about both, but I'm not sure what I should choose!

I'm looking for a blanket that has good weight, breathable, and is suitable for different seasons. I'm in San Diego, so there isn't a ton of temperature variation. Deciding between cotton vs wool has been difficult, as I've only really had cotton but I have heard real wool products are a game changer.

I want to treat myself to a nice product, but I want to avoid having regrets of choosing one over the other

I wear mostly wool for all layer and articles of clothing but personally for sleeping I use cotton sheets and blankets. I have a couple of Bates Mill Store (basically New England Faribault Mill equivalent) cotton weave blankets and they are great for winter and summer. I would be hesitant to use virgin wool as a single layer next to skin, as much as they claim it to be super soft I’ve never had virgin wool that wasn’t mildly irritating to skin. If I did go wool route I’d look for Merino only, I don’t personally have experience with that particular blanket though so just my opinion!

I’ve owned both. Get the Faribault. B&B isn’t even in the same universe as Faribault.
