Hey everyone, I was wondering if there's something like the bose music app for windows in order to adjust noise cancellation when my earbuds are connected to my computer. I recently got the QC earbuds and I absolutely love them, and they work perfectly with the bose music app on my phone (Pixel 4 XL) but I was wondering if I could somehow do the same for my computer?
wait i just clocked that you could use like bluestacks and download it from there, wonder if that will work
To clarify for anyone searching this up years later. If your Bose device uses the "Bose Music" App, you can still use your phone app to control the EQ and other settings while the device is also connected to your PC.
I am using 2 x bose flex in stereo mode for my PC as main speakers. I have to switch it on daily, press the bluetooth + vol buttons on both speakers and link it in stereo mode everytime, even multiple times each day. I am worried the buttons might fail/break on the long run. There's app for android/ios, but not for windows.
So a bose app on windows would make it easier to connect soundlink speakers together/control etc.
The Soundtouch app on my Win 11 machines are opening a debug log window which shows all the discovery process for all the Soundtouch speakers on my local LAN. Not a big issue, actually it's pretty interesting to see all the network back-and-forth as it compiles the information it needs. (I think it's actually logging the activity of the helper app) This is a mild irritant as It's no effort to just X the window to get rid of it.
While I'm griping (sorry!) it's pretty irritating when I leave the Soundtouch app up and running and leave it for a while. After a time of inactivity (I guess when the system goes into sleep mode) the app is still there but totally unresponsive and I have to kill/restart it and again all is well. Most other apps can just keep working with no bounce, but the Soundtouch always is needing restart.
Griping aside, I really like the Bose Soundtouch platform with speakers in every room which sound terrific with all playing in sync. Great stuff!
Hi, I have the bose QuietComfort Earbuds 2 which I use both in my android and in my windows laptop. Is there any app to control the earbuds in windows 10?
I tried downloading Bose connect app but I couldn't. So can anyone tell me how can I download and install Bose connect app on windows 11? And also how to connect the QC35 bluetooth on windows?
I've had a pair of soundlink Revolve+ units (the ones with the handle in the image) for quite some time now. I am super happy with the products and the Bose Connect app on my android device, but recently I have found my self using the speakers with my laptop more often. As far as I know there is no such software for desktop as there is for mobile to connect the soundlink devices for stereo or party output. Have you seen any indication of the desktop equivalent of the Bose Connect software to be under development or ever even been under consideration?
I added a poll to this as well to see how you feel about this subject.
I can't see the downsides of having the software for desktop aswell, so if you know some ppl from the inside, please hint towards this post and subject. Thanks!
NC 700 headphones that I switch among a lot of devices (two phones, two laptops, two Apple TVs and an iPad). The app more and more frequently is demanding that I sign in to their stupid cloud service just so I can use it to switch. Aside from being super annoying all the time, it has happened several times when I’m not in coverage such as an airplane and the long tunnel my train takes on my daily commute. It’s even worse when I’m switching to iPad because I have to pull out my phone - iPad app makes itself useless.
Are there any alternative apps or workarounds?
I have read many threads on connection issues and have dealt with my share of those. Most relate to the poor software in the App. But most recently I’ve found that the App requires a login to use, even just to turn on the immersive sound. Every time I log in, I get connection problems and also get logged back out. So the sound settings get reset to standard and I have to reopen the App, login again, rinse, repeat.
I’ve used Bose products consistently for 25 years. This has made me consider switching to Apple earbuds or something else.
The mic on the earbuds is terrible too, especially outside.
Venting frustration in case anyone at corporate reads these blog posts.
I picked up a pair of QC ultras today for gym use to replace my AirPods Pros. I'm about to return these things. Seriously, what is it with Bose and the WORST bluetooth experience on the planet? Soundlink is awful with bluetooth as well.
They're working fine with my phone, but I'm wondering how I can connect them to my PC. Entering pairing mode via the button on the right cup, it'll show up under bluetooth devices on my PC, but refuse to connect. Entering pairing mode via the "add device" option in the Bose app on my phone, it'll connect as "LE- Bose QuietComfort Ultra" as an other device and not a selectable audio device. I cannot output any audio to them this way. I have been spamming the bluetooth button on the right cup, constantly listening to that stupid cello sound, and listening to the atrocious AI voice spell out my PC name over and over but no luck.
It's not mandatory that I get them working with my PC, but I'd like to. I typically use Hifiman HE400i w/ FiiO E10k DAC, but my gf games next to me sometimes and she uses a Bose Soundlink for audio. Open back headphones with the background noise isn't the best, so I'd like to be able to use ANC with the QCs sometimes.
Any suggestions?
Just bought bose qc se and every time I turn them on the bose woman goes "to start setup download the bose music app” Twice! And I already got the app and I have setup my headphones there.
How can I fix this? Don’t want to hear that every time I turn my headphones on…
I am losing my mind trying to get these to consistently work with windows 11. Often windows/bose app say they're connected to my windows 11 laptop, but no sound is coming through, I've tried selecting both headphones and headset device type, and no sound coming through for either. Even when they did work at some point, the mic didn't work.
It sometimes works, but often doesn't, I can't be restarting my laptop every time i want my headphones to work. I try removing the device from windows, and it's now hanging on "Removing device". I have no such issue with android with audio or removing device.
I've contacted Bose to RMA these, but they've told me that since they are redoing their warehouse system (or something like that), the RMA may take up to 2 months, so I've held off...
Is there some "trick" to get these working properly with windows?
I’ve tried so many ways to pair my new Bose QC with my laptop, but it seems like nothing works T.T Has anyone successfully paired their bose QC to a windows 11 PC?
I'm pretty sure this topic has been discussed several times but I still want to rant a little bit about his, sorry for that.
Current I'm using three different Bose headphones and earbuds besides other products from other brands. Different use cases, different moods, different headphones, no need for details.
There are QC Comfort Ultra, QC Ultra Earbuds and the new QuietComfort Earbuds 2024. To use these, I have to install at least to different apps. The standard Bose App and the new Bose QC Earbuds App.
Why on earth are there different apps? Why does the new app only support the QC Earbuds 2024, but not at least the QC Ultra? Is there more support for other Bose headphones around the corner and coming soon or what is this ...?
Thinking of moving to Bose after Sonos completely destroyed their products and goodwill with their terrible app update. I know the Bose speakers sound good, but I can't find much information on the app anywhere. The good thing about Sonos was that the app had a bunch of services integrated into it. Bandcamp, Classic FM, other stuff, and so on. Does the Bose app do anything like that? Or do I have to open individual apps and stream the audio from my phone to the speaker?
I keep seeing the same complaint popping up in reddit and youtube, where quietcomfort ultra headphones keep disconnecting out oif nowhere while still being powered on. I can't exactly say what the reason for this is, bit it seems to be a head detection issue, but worst of all is: this is connected to the app
In multiple threads here people reached this same conclusion, and it seems to be pretty widespread, so if you're having this connection problem you can follow these steps:
Reset your headphones (guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqPAZd_vvCY)
connect them to your phone, install the app, and change the settings you want/need
delete the app right away or remove bluetooth/close devices permissions for the app
It's been three weeks without any disconnects happening on my side, while still having head detection/automatic power off working normally, while before it was a daily occurrence
