The Bose Connect App sucks. I Expect More From Bose and they don't seem to give AF about sending such a POS app out into the market. Paid more than $700 for two Bluetooth speakers that sound pretty good, but most of the time the app drops one of the two speakers whenever I try to connect in stereo mode. Won't be buying Bose ever again, not because of sound quality but rather because of the crappy Connect app.

You could play stereo mode without the app though. All you need today do is press & hold Volume Up and Bluetooth button on one speaker and Volume Down and Bluetooth button on the other speaker. After that it will say Party Mode, so all you need to do is press & hold Volume Up and Bluetooth button to go to stereo mode. I had to do this after my Bose Connect App stopped working for me. Also, sometimes the connection won’t sync between both speakers so just turn them both off and on and try the steps I provided again.

Totally agree. I spend more time trying to get the damn app to connect than I do listening to music. How can Bose release such crap for their outstanding speakers??!!

I just purchased my first Bose product, the QC45. I'm connecting it to my iPhone 14 as well as my iMac. The small manual that came with the headphones recommended me to install the Bose Music and Bose Connect apps, which I did. Just FYI, I don't plan to purchase any other Bose products as of now.
With just the headphones, what are the benefits of these two apps? I like to keep my phone minimal and without apps without purpose. Are there any major benefits of having these two apps? Or can I just delete them without noticing any missing features etc?

I have the QC2 earbuds and I set the app up when I first got them as there was an update to apply.... but it's bloody useless. The earbuds were connected to my phone and playing music but the app said that they weren't connected. So I deleted it. Contacted Bose who said that it was my phone at fault. When there's another update i will reinstall it but for now I am not bothering with it. Apart from ANC tests I don't think there is anything that you will miss.
