I have the QC 35s and the Soundsport Frees, which both use Bose Connect. However, now it says the new QuietComfort Earbuds releasing soon will be using the Bose Music app.
What the heck, Bose? Now I'm going to have 2 different apps to control different products from you? Why can't you integrate everything into the same app?
Bose apps I use...
SoundTouch: LS650, 2x ST20, ST10
Connect: SoundSport Free, QC35 II, Revolve, 2x Revolve+
Music: 700, soon to be NC Earbuds
Sigh.
AFAIK, the goal was/is to centralize all new product control on the Bose Music app (and all new products launched this year do so).
Bose Connect remains for the products that work through it, same with SoundTouch.
Seems like both apps do the same thing. Search and add Bose devices or check for firmware updates to download & install
I just purchased my first Bose product, the QC45. I'm connecting it to my iPhone 14 as well as my iMac. The small manual that came with the headphones recommended me to install the Bose Music and Bose Connect apps, which I did. Just FYI, I don't plan to purchase any other Bose products as of now.
With just the headphones, what are the benefits of these two apps? I like to keep my phone minimal and without apps without purpose. Are there any major benefits of having these two apps? Or can I just delete them without noticing any missing features etc?
Thanks :-)
