Bose Quiet Comfort 15
While they're no bargain, the Bose QuietComfort 15s currently offer the best sound and silencing capabilities in a pair of noise-canceling headphones. The QuietComfort 15s look identical to the QuietComfort 2s, with the same over-the-ear design, including earcups that swivel and fold flat to fit in a stylish case. (To be clear: the QC15s ... In designing its fourth-generation consumer noise-canceling headphones, the QuietComfort 15s, Bose has done something interesting. Instead of coming up with a whole new look for its headphones as it did with the QuietComfort 3s, Bose has left the basic des

r/headphones on Reddit: Bose QuietComfort Comparison: QC25 vs QC15 — I got my QC15s in 2009 and finally upgraded to the new model.
April 17, 2014 - Comfort: My old pair of QC15s were so worn in, they basically cradled my head perfectly, so my new QC25s do not feel quite as comfortable yet, as they press into the sides of my head a bit too much. The shape and size is definitely better, though. My head and ears are rather large, so the 15s put a bit of pressure on the edges of my ears.

October 12, 2023 -

I have been blown away how long these headphones have lasted. They were purchased some time in 2010 and have been worn 8 hours a day 5 times a week since then. I’ve had to replace the ear cushions 3 times and the cord once. They just take AAA batteries (I got rechargeables) so no BS battery packs that you can’t service. They aren’t wireless but because of that they are super light weight. On the used market they go for ~$40 now a days and are totally worth it if your in the market.

August 12, 2017 - Simple answer: you aren't going to beat Bose for noise cancelling (they really are the best in the world), and no passive closed-back headphone (let alone an open headphone) is going to be really suitable for airplane use or anything like that.

Bose QuietComfort 25 Vs 15: Which One Is Better? | Headphone Day
The Bose QuietComfort 25 doesn’t have a rechargeable battery like the QC 35 II or Bose 700. It uses a single AAA battery to fuel the active noise cancellation. This headset will offer you up to 35 hours of battery life, which is quite good. You need to replace the battery when needed as there is no way to charge the headphone. You can still play music on QC 25 even if the battery dies, but the ANC won’t work without the battery. And the main difference between QC15 and 25 in terms of battery features lies here.

Next, I'd recommend the QC15 over the QC3 -- better sound and better noise cancellation, though the QC15 is an "over the ear" phone and the QC3 is an "on the ear" version. Yeah, sadly though we only have one Bose dealership in Sweden, so it'll be a bit difficult.
