April 17, 2014 - Comfort: My old pair of QC15s were so worn in, they basically cradled my head perfectly, so my new QC25s do not feel quite as comfortable yet, as they press into the sides of my head a bit too much. I have been blown away how long these headphones have lasted. They were purchased some time in 2010 and have been worn 8 hours a day 5 times a week since then. I’ve had to replace the ear cushions 3 times and the cord once. They just take AAA batteries (I got rechargeables) so no BS battery packs that you can’t service. They aren’t wireless but because of that they are super light weight. On the used market they go for ~$40 now a days and are totally worth it if your in the market.

Just think this all came about from Dr. Bose is getting a headache on a flight from Switzerland to Boston. Yes, I worked on and tested all the early units. One of the original pairs is actually at the Smithsonian Air and Space museum with the Voyager Aircraft. They were given to Doug Rutan for his Voyager flight non-stop around the world.
