I brought the soundbar for $170 at Costco. One thing I can say that the Solo's biggest strength is in dialogue clarity. Music doesn't sound bad, I think it does a decent job but nothing compare to bose's other soundbars like the 700. The bar's volume is pretty loud but it depends on what source your using. It supports stereo and dolby digital which is suprising since the bar only contains two speakers inside of it. My main complaint is the volume level when watching blurays with Dolby digital. The max volume seems to sound really low to me when set the sound output on both my tv and xbox one to dolby digital. I decided to change the output to stereo on both devices and the volume seem to have increased. This was not a problem when watching through my direct tv service as the volume was really loud on there. 500 and 700 soundbars doesn't suffer this problem since both have very high volume levels. Sound quality is decent and it doesn't become distorted or muffled the more you increase the volume. This is made for small rooms such as bedrooms. Don't expect it to fill up medium to large size rooms because you will be disappointed. In general, it's a decent soundbar, but I wish its volume was bit higher. I think bose should have added adpatiq which it could help the bar on volume and sound quality
Thoughts on the Bose solo 5? Its on sale for 150 from amazon right now.
I considered the LG prime deal day sale soundbar but the review about the soundbar not waking when the TV goes out of scree saver mode (a mode my tv is often in) sounded really annoying.
I know this isn't the highest quality bar, but anything is a improvement over what I have now (which is the sound being projected from the wall behind the TV).
TV: Wall mounted OLED65C8PUA with internal cable routing.
QUestion, Will it be "ok" to run the fiber optic cable behind the tv through the wall pass through and out the bottom? I know the fiber cables are fragile and degrade over distance, but the distance is going to probably be close to 10-15 feet of cable.
