I'm thinking of buying it refurbished for 99$ to use with my TV in a relatively small room, are there any better alternatives in a similar price range?

I bought it last month for $140 CAN as a refurb directly from BOSE to use in a bedroom to enhance audio channel. The Samsung TV has horrible speakers and the BOSE has changed this completely. I also firmware updated it to the BOSE TV SPeaker firmware with no issue (it comes up as the recommended firmware update for this unit after much digging through BOSe support pages. The Soundbar can be configured to turn on and off with the TV (when audio signal is sensed) or with the remote. I have a programmable logitech and hub where I just configured to turn on and off with TV. Works well and is a steal $$. Also, last point, it does not have an HDMI ARC , but does have Optical or coax audio channel

Update for anyone coming to this thread with a similar situation. If you use a Roku device as your primary streaming device and you don't have any other devices to worry about (TV, Roku, and soundbar), then this will work for you! The Roku remote already controls the volume on the TV. I programmed the Sideclicker to have volume buttons for the Soundbar, Channel up and down buttons, Input button and left/right buttons, and an OK button for the TV, and finally I set Power to the Power button on the Soundbar. They are both intro bars. Either one is going to give you better sound than what your TV speakers are giving you, as they are pointed towards you and not towards the wall, like most TV's do these days. I'm inclined to suggest the Bose TV Soundbar from Target, only because it will give you the option in the future to add a Sub if you wanted more bass, which is not an option you have with the Solo.
