The soundbar must be on the same network so it can receive commands from the app to configure the remote. If the soundbar cannot connect to the Wi-Fi network, use an Ethernet cable to connect the soundbar to the router (or access point) so it can be found by the device running the Bose app .
Help with Tv button on little soundbar remote
It sounds like you have the Bose TV speaker. No, that's not a "turn the TV on" button, it's a "switch the bar to the TV source" button after you have used BT. They gave this bar the simplified remote because they expect most people will now control the TV + Soundbar +other devices through the TV remote through HDMI. Your issue is that yours is plugged in by coaxial/RCA. The best you could probably do is set the bar to Auto-wake when it receives a signal from the TV (ie turn the TV on with the TV remote, and it turns the soundbar on at the same time). To do that hold down the power button until you hear a tone and teh TV + BT lights flash 3 times. I'm not 100% sure the TV will control the SOunbdars volume using the coaxial, but I think if you set the soundbar volume high (say 80%) the TV volume will control its output, effectively giving you volume control on the bar. So I have a 418775 Bose soundbar that came with a little remote that has 8 buttons: Power, TV, +, -, Bluetooth, BASS, Mute, and a dialogue bubble button. I'm guessing that this remote has IR functionnalities, and the Tv button serves that function. Is there anyway that I can use this to turn on/off the TV that the soundbar is plugged to by Coaxial?

My Bose 700 soundbar remote is only partially lighting up. The blue lens aren't lighting up at all anymore and some of the white leds aren't coming on either.
I've tried a number of high-power alkaline batteries, but nothing is working.
Anyone else have this issue? Know how to fix it?

Did you already try removing the remote in the app and setting it up again? I had a similar problem once with my Soundbar 500 and the Soundbar Universal remote which is basically the same model.

May 13, 2023 - First, on the Bose remote, hold down the Bluetooth button until you see a blue blinking light on the sound bar. This makes the sound bar discoverable by the Apple TV remote. Second, go in to settings and then select Bluetooth devices. You should now see the Bose device is now discoverable.
