For those who’ve had the Bose 700 set up, (soundbar, subwoofer and surround speakers) what was your experience with it? I’ve seen that some people say that the soundbar has lip sync delay, others who say the subwoofer has a weird noise coming out of it, etc. But what’s your opinion on it?

I have a 600 and 900 soundbar setup with bass module for each. Both work great and never a problem. The Bose app allows you to adjust audio delay in 10 millisecond increments if there's an audio delay. My neighbor has the 700 setup with bass module and surrounds and says his works fine. September 7, 2023 - A Bose 700 soundbar is a terrible buy. The sound is great but the software around it is really shit. The sound stops playing randomly and you have to either reboot it or switch the source of input using your phone or remote .

Dialogue mode is the main issue i see here, it’s job is to cut the low frequencies (bass) and boost the vocals in the high frequencies. It’s useful for content that can wasn’t mixed with a center channel or has lots of sound fx overpowering the voices. The 700 sub is great so i would start by using the app to switch the sub on and off while playing a reference track. You can plug the sub in a different room as a test and rerun adaptiq that will make it pump but might not technology be the most balanced sound but hey if all you want is a thump it will do it. I ordered both the 500 and 700 bass modules to see which one worked best for us. The 500 was too boomy…I think it has to try too hard due to the small driver. The 700 sounds great and isn’t boomy once I dialed it in for our room. Location and settings can make all the difference between a big, boomy mess and tight, punchy and deep. More on reddit.com

I have a 600 and 900 soundbar setup with bass module for each. Both work great and never a problem. July 3, 2025 - As for the Bose 700 subwoofer, it was a bit glitchy pairing with the sound bar, however, once paired I have had no issues. The sound is great, definitely an increase in BASS. Just don't fool yourself.

Answer (1 of 3): I have built speakers & subwoofers, modified amps & soundards. It is easy to get things in a house to vibrate. Doesn't mean it sounds great. Nor that it is accurately representing the artist intension. The subwoofer that I just built can rattle things in my room as low as 15Hz....

Hey everyone. I recently ventured into purchasing some Bose equipment to achieve some type of theatrical effect when watching things like Netflix, or rented content from iTunes, Google Play, Apple TV and so on.
My current setup is as follows:
-Bose Smart Soundbar 900
-Boss Bass Module 700
-LG 4K OLED (55")
Given this setup, my room is no where near in a place where I'd like it to be. Now, for reference sake, my cousin has the same exact configuration and has a room that's twice as big as mine, and hardwood floors, like mine.
I've tried to emulate what I like: bass! I want the room to have a light rumble and I want to feel the impact of the high-octane action scenes, or just the impact of the content that I am watching. Now, I can't tell if my Boss Bass Module 700 is really working. I got one from Best Buy, did the ADAPTIQ and turned on dialogue mode, and there was NO bass. It was just dead in the water. So I got a new one.
This is now my second one, and I have the soundbar's bass setting to 70, and the bose bass module at 40. When watching shows, there is a vibration through out the room, but it was WAY more intense at my cousin's house, who has the same settings.
While I understand that each room may call for different audio settings in the Bose app, I am a bit confused as to why my subwoofer sounds so vastly different from his, or maybe my memory/recollection of it is incorrect. How do I confirm, or validate that this sub is actually working? I feel like the $800 is just not worth it right now? Can anyone please help me out? Here is how it's setup.

Sounds like you need to do a bass crawl to better position the subwoofer. If your not sure, a quick YouTube search will help. Delete the sub from the system and rerun adapt IQ. Then add the subwoofer after but don’t rerun for maximum bass Also turn off dialogue mode
