Apparently you can begin ordering on Walmart and Amazon and Best Buy. I’m Considering buying just to try them.
If u Order from Bose they have a 90 day trial. Not sure when it will arrive.
Walmart will Ship and arrive as soon as tomorrow for me. They are now in holiday return period, so you can return it as late as January 31. enough time to see if there’s persistent connectivity issues with the earbuds or any other nagging issues.
Amazon will ship within 2 days i think. You can return within 30 days on Amazon.
Best Buy will ship by Thursday (oct 5), and have it in my local stores by oct 8. Return policy is 15 days, (60 days if Best Buy plus member. )

I don't know boses release cycle. I want to order the bose qc ultras (BTW black or diamond 60th??) but if a new one is around the corner I would rather wait. When do they usually release?

Bose doesn't publish any sort of official schedule about their QuietComfort release plans; but it seems reasonable to attempt some rudimentary inference from historical trends of their releases (with most dates and intervals here approximated based on published reviews and some lazy Google-fu): Product | Release Date | Difference to Previous Release | QC 25 | March 2015 | QC 35 | September 2016 | 30 months | QC 35 II | September 2017 | 12 months | NCH 700 | June 2019 | 21 months | QC 45 | September 2021 | 27 months | QC Ultra | October 2023 | 25 months So, on average it is just under 2 years (~23 months) between product releases, if they follow a cadence similar to what they have been recently doing. Of course this is nothing more than a slightly-educated guess; but from this limited data it would make sense to anticipate their next major QuietComfort over-ear product release to be sometime in September or October of 2025. But as to how likely that actually is... who can say? 🤷♂️

They just announced a new QC earbud (entry level), for a release this year, so I wouldn't expect them to announce any others or they probably would have announced them at the same time. Going on previous releases I'd expect another 12 months, maybe October next year, maybe later than that.

Heya,
I'm considering buying the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones, but they're quite expensive, and I haven't found any good deals where I live (Norway). Since Bose tends to release new models every few years, I'm wondering if a new version might be coming soon... 🤔
Would it be worth waiting, or should I just go for them now? Any insights/opinions would be appreciated! In the meantime I have AirPods but wanted to switch over to headphones for podcasts/language learning content and distraction free work flows. Thanks in advance:)

While a new version could arrive this year, I'd think it's more likely next year. I think the Ultras were released end of 2023. Bose generally don't have a one size fits all life cycle, so you shouldn't expect a new one every 12/18/24 months. Some will last 18 months before replacement, some will replace after 24 months. Totally guesswork, but I think they'll have a soft update (ie more of a version 2 with updated features rather than a full replacement) maybe April 2026

I just let my brother in law try on the Bose QC Ultras while riding in our noisy van. He was amazed at the ANC.
