The QC are known to be more comfortable and slightly lighter than the QC Ultra and cheaper. Until I got the AirPods Max 2 months ago, the Bose QC35ii and QC45s were my main headphones mostly because of the comfort. The other advantage of the regular QC is they can be used wired on a dead battery. The QC Ultras can’t. More on reddit.com

How do I pair Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones with my mobile device?
First, make sure your headphones are turned on with the slider switch in the middle “On” position. Next, slide and hold the switch to the Bluetooth icon until the Bluetooth LED flashes blue or when the voice prompt indicates the headphones have entered into pairing mode. Please note, if this is your first time connecting the headphones, they will automatically turn on into pairing mode. Voice prompts will provide you with additional guidance. I have the Sony WH-1000XM4, Sony WH-720N and Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 and while the passive sound on these varies (whilst they're turned off), I got to say, the Bose QC has a pretty good sound and I would say sounds the best out of all these.
I'm curious if there are other wireless headphones have a good wired sound, even when they're turned off.

I don't care about noise cancelling - can either pair of the headphones be used as headphones wired? I have a couple of long flights coming up, and I just want a good quality pair of cans that are comfy and have a good sound quality, and just work. Everything I've looked at just seems to talk about the noise cancelling, and I just don't care, but everything seems to be wireless now, and it's kind of a huge pain in the rear trying to find the right info. Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't buy these if you're looking for wired headphones and don't care about noise cancelling. The whole point of these headphones are that they are wireless noise canceling devices. There are much better options for you out there. How are you driving your headphones? Are you using a smartphone to play music?
