Is it possible to replace the old school trolley handle that releases mid-bag to a trolley handle that releases in the top of the trolley handle? I can’t even find trolley handles on their self help parts site. My bag is from around 1998. I really hate the mid-height release on it. I did a search and didn’t find anyone talking about this specific issue.

Travel Products - B&R returns/repairs - Based upon FT recommendations, I purchased a B&R Baseline U122CX (about 18 months ago)...and I love it for its versatility and its ability to swallow large volumes of clothes. My decade old and very well used Briggs & Riley bag lost a wheel, they immediately sent me a full replacement set.
Update: having replaced a wheel I can confirm that it's a straightforward job and that the bag was clearly designed with repairs in mind, you can unzip the inner lining to access everything and then seal everything away again after. They even have felt pads to prevent the screw heads rubbing on the internal lining. Cleverly it's designed such that you can't unscrew or even loosen anything from the outside even if the screws are visible. Just needed a standard Phillips screwdriver. Out of laziness I've just replaced the broken wheel for now as the sizes are all the same and I don't mind an odd wheel - means I have three fresh replacements should the others wear out or break in future. Edit also because I should have said up top - I was given the choice between sending the case to them for free repairs but I pay for postage, taking it to the repair centre myself for the cost of my time/fuel or they send me the wheels at no charge at all and I do it myself. January 14, 2023 - I believe they will just repair your bag, but you will most likely have to ship it into B&R at your own expense even if you have a repair center nearby. No receipt, no questions as to how it happened, nothing, they just fix it and return it. I hope you have better luck, than I have had though. ... My Briggs and Riley has been all over the world and taken a kicking, on a recent trip in Scotland it lost a wheel. I didn't notice for a while because it still stayed upright.
Contacted customer support for a replacement who checked the product number - turns out they don't make my exact case any more so rather than send me one replacement wheel that would fit they've sent me a full set of four new ones in the new style so everything will match.
I paid a premium for the case at the time because of their warranty and this is the first time I've tested it. Happy customer so far!

I sent a 20 year old Briggs & Riley 24" in to fix the zipper. Got it back a few weeks later fixed. No charge. I ended up buying a new 22" that day. Still have my fully functional 21" that I've used on over 200 flights.
