So my cheap, local brand suitcase just gave up after maybe 10 years of moderate use. I’m currently in the US and need a new check-in large suitcase. I’ve seen Briggs and Riley recommended a lot but the large suitcase is $850. Considering how many BIFl brands have gone down in quality in recent years, is Briggs and Riley still worth spending hundreds of bucks for? I expect a lot of travel in the upcoming months and years so I don’t want to keep replacing a suitcase every couple of years
Is Briggs and Riley still worth it?

Myself and members of my family have had fantastic luck with both brands - looking at the bags and their price points, I think it comes down to a mix of preference of style and preference of brand. For flying I can't honestly reccommend fabric or hard sided cases on the basis of durability alone, but will say that fabric will show wear more than polycarbonate, but if the plastic ever breaks it will probably be "all at once" rather than a patch that wears down until it runs out of threads.
