r/Plumbing on Reddit: Trying to repair/replace elements in a touch-sensor faucet.
December 16, 2021 -

I have a [Edited] Brizo touch faucet that suddenly stopped working suddenly and completely - no sputtering, no intermittency. I disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled the 6v latching solenoid valve, and it worked for a couple of months, but it has failed again. I don't have an oscilloscope, but I made a little test harness (coupla blade connectors, a resistor and an LED in series) that shows the touch sensor system is generating strong pulses as I believe it should. The solenoid coil reads as it should, and when I apply 6v to it, the plunger (the slug in the middle of the solenoid insert) moves. The diaphragm seems intact. But it doesn't work in the faucet assembly.

The test harness. The (I think) problem-child valve. Vsrious other images of the setup.

What I'd like, from y'all folks here, is some advice. Can/should I refurb the existing valve? If so, then what, beyond cleaning it and reassembling it (there's no indentation on the plunger) should I do?

And if not, then is there a valve you'd recommend as a direct replacement?

And if not, then recommendations for parts (especially the two [different] plumbing disconnects) would be appreciated.

Brizo Smart-touch Faucet,.... reviews??
We have Brizo Artesso with SmartTouch. We ordered it without SmartTouch but someone made a mistake. We've been in our house for a month and batteries are already out. I cannot use the faucet with low batteries. Sometimes it just won't turn on for no reason and then an hour later it is working. One of the six batteries was dead - hoping that replacing the one battery will fix the problems...

Brizo Touch Faucet Troubleshooting & Repair | Expert Q&A
The Brizo 64070LF uses capacitive touch sensors linked to the solenoid valve. Unintended activation occurs if the sensor at the base or handle detects stray electrical signals. To fix, ensure proper grounding of the faucet and solenoid.

Q: I have a Brizo smarttouch faucet made by delta. ...
Thank you for your question! The EP73954 A/C power adapter is compatible with any Brizo Smart Touch kitchen faucet that has a Generation 3 solenoid. A Generation 3 solenoid will have a rectangular battery box, that would require you to take off a lid to access the batteries.

Brizo Touch Kitchen Faucet?
Anybody has used one? Sales say that this is better than the sensor type faucet from delta and kohler. Any comments? Thanks! ... Loving ours. The Kolhler did not impress me in person. I am usually a Grohe girl. I love our new Brizo.

r/Plumbing on Reddit: Brizo or another high-end touchless kitchen faucet
August 19, 2025 -

I know this has been asked before but asking again since hopefully technology gets better with time. It sounds like the lower end touchless faucets are the problematic ones (more plastic parts, turns on randomly more, can't use without power/batteries). What if I go higher end like the Brizo Odin SmartTouch Faucet? Or should I just give up and get a non touchless?

Would you buy a Brizo Venuto SmartTouch faucet again?
We fell in love with the Brizo Venuto SmartTouch faucet at the showroom today. However, as I'm doing my homework, I'm finding reviews split. Some people have had trouble with the technology and disconnected the SmartTouch feature. I know they are a division of Delta, so I'm not sure if it's the same technology as in the Delta faucets. While I love the concept, especially for an aging in place home, I don't want to buy something that has been plagued with problems...
