Buying chrome shower fixtures would be around half the cost of brushed nickel for the stuff I’m looking at... is that normal? Have you found it to be higher quality / lower maintenance? I’m kind of lazy about cleaning ...
I’m remodeling my en-suite and like these lights but the new faucets are brushed nickel, and I was going to do brushed nickel towel bars. The lighting and the handles on the vanity I was going to do black to coordinate with lighting in the bedroom. How do I make the lights not shiny, or alternatively they sell a brushed gold version I could turn silver if that’s easier. If the answer is spray paint, what kind will stick to the metal? Has anyone done this? Thanks!
I'm not talking conspicuous disparities in finishes (e.g., chrome alongside oil-rubbed bronze). I am asking about hardware finishes found in the same room that still fall within the broad "silver" family. So, the finishes do not exactly match, but they are relatively similar.
E.g.,
a polished chrome showerhead with a brushed nickel light fixture.
or
a satin nickel bathroom sink faucet with satin chrome drawer pulls.
