Buffy Comforter Review (2025) - Buying Guide | Sleepopolis
January 2, 2023 - However, when I first unboxed this comforter, I was met with the most dreamy, soothing scents. Also… Who doesn’t love a free sleep mask? The cover fabric of the Buffy feels very silky to the touch — similar to a sateen woven sheet.

I Tried That Cooling Comforter From The Internet And Here's What Happened
August 7, 2018 - Worth noting that before my AC was broken, I used a down comforter and duvet. It always made me sweat at some point in the night. ... I asked for his opinion on Buffy and can confirm he also loves it. ... So for now I just have the white blanket (which is fine, just not as fun). ... I think she loves this thing more than she loves me. ... I obviously didn't have a risk since I got it for free, but some of the reviews online scared me off.

Duvet insert: Can’t decide between Parachute vs Buffy vs Quince vs Brooklinen vs Casper vs any others
This sub in general is very skeptical of online influencer brands like the ones you mention, who spend enormous amounts on marketing with often middling actual product quality. And yes, they absolutely pay out tons in commissions to reviewers and social media influencers to feature and “review” their products. I’m not saying everything they sell is bad, but many of their products are certainly lower quality than older, less internet savvy heritage brands and even just normal department store brands. The money for all that marketing has to come from somewhere! My Brooklinen sheets lasted about 2 years before completely falling apart; that should not happen with a $200 sheet set. If you are in the market for a down duvet insert I HIGHLY recommend you buy it on eBay. There is a ton of department store overstock and you can easily get a super nice insert for substantially less than you’d pay at retail. I recently bought my mom a new medium-weight queen down duvet of the Bloomingdale’s store brand, I paid $56 plus shipping for a duvet that retails for like $500. That was a pretty good snag but not as rare as you might think. The only downside of going this route is most of the overstock vendors do not allow returns, so do your research on dimensions, down fill power, fill weight, and so on before buying anything More on reddit.com

People also ask

What's the difference between a comforter and a duvet?

The main difference is that a comforter is one piece of bedding, while a duvet is both an insert and a cover. A comforter is a thick blanket used on its own and does not require a cover.

How can you tell if a comforter is good quality?

Well-made products always hold up better against the test of time. When shopping for comforters, look for threading around the edges and smaller details like the stitching pattern to ensure you get a well-constructed product. For example, a comforter with a baffle box pattern will keep the fill in place longer.

August 2, 2025 - I LOVE my BUFFY!!! I initially had been sent the wrong size, but their awesome customer service took care of that quickly. Best comforter I’ve had. Light but warm, actually perfect temperature even for summer. Quiet and fluffy. Get one….you’ll love it!! Reply · Can this be put in a dryer?. On their website it has a review that comforter was destroyed in washer.

December 2, 2020 - In past years we have also tested the following now-discontinued comforters: the Allied Home Deluxe White Down Comforter, the Target Fieldcrest Comforters (the mid-weight was a former budget pick), the IKEA Hönsbär and Sötvedel comforters, the Crane & Canopy Classic Goose Down Comforter, the Balichun Goose Down Comforter, the Downlite Hotel & Resort European Down Comforter, and The Company Store’s Company Conscious Down Comforter. We tested the Buffy Cloud and Breeze comforters, but they were both extremely heavy and didn’t breathe at all—we woke up drenched in sweat

October 1, 2025 - Even though I'm a hot sleeper, I've slept with this comforter for about a year now and don’t have any complaints (although, I do like to keep my room at a cooler temperature). I also sleep only with this comforter -- no duvet cover, top sheet or other blankets. How it sleeps: The outside shell of the Buffy Cloud is made with eucalyptus fabric, which offers a softer and more breathable option than cotton.

Buffy comforter review: Fluffy hotel bed energy, but more eco-friendly | Mashable
April 8, 2020 - But while polyester comforters trap heat, Buffy creates a breeze every time you move. When you compress the comforter, you can feel air puffing out the sides and moving through the fabric. Along with the feather-light feel, the Cloud really does feel like, well, a cloud floating on top of you. I haven't tried it in summer yet, but Buzzfeed's reviewer was psyched about how it kept her from sweating amidst a heat advisory in NYC.

September 11, 2023 - Fast forward to today, and it’s just flat, esp on the sides. It’s a waste of money. I don’t recommend Buffy. I think either I keep getting bad quality sent out to me, or people that love this brand simply never had a truly puffy comforter. I will never know.

October 17, 2022 - When our comforter arrived, I was initially surprised at how small the box was. It comes vacuum sealed within the box to save space. But after letting it air out, it surprisingly didn’t expand too much. Especially compared to down and mattresses we’ve purchased in the past.
