So did a bit of looking around the reddit for camera suggestions, and these two came up regularly. But after looking at several threads, I'm not quite sure what the differences are in people's experiences. Looking at a comparison on their amazon pages, c920 has "better" light correction" to the c922's "good," so assume there's one difference. The c920 has a standard lens while the c922 has glass, which is another. But I'm the sort of person that likes to know how things have worked once they're in people's hands.
I'm fine with spending the extra on the c922 if its more worth my money. My lighting situation isn't ideal at the moment but it isn't bad in my opinion, and changes can be made to improve it.
I know there have been camera discussions, but most that are relevant to me seem to be at least a month old, and updates and such can happen in that time.
I been searching in this sub and other sites, people said that there is not enough difference to justify the higher price of the C922.
So now I just want to be sure if there is an important Software difference between the 2 webcams (and what is your experience with it, for example G-Hub and Logitech software, etc. ).
Thanks for your time.

I was looking to buy a webcam and these are the two I’m stuck on. Should I spend the extra 10-20 dollars for the c922 or is it not really worth it? I don’t have a ring light or anything like that so which would do the best without one temporarily
I use the c920 and it works pretty good for me, If the camera is the entire scene then focusing in and out every once in a while but Its not jarring.
Never tried the c922, but Ill assume its not too much better or theyd charge more.
Not sure how they would perform without a ring light, Mine is pretty jerry rigged. Some led's and some scotch tape and you should be set in that dept.
I use the C920 and BRIO. Although I can’t use the 4K on the brio when streaming. The C920 does the trick
Hi there.
I am wondering guys, what is better webcam for 1080p streaming? I was reading some topics about this before but some of them are kinda older and there were also described some software differencies which may changed to these days...
Both webcams are in the same prices right now.
Thanks for your answers.
Hey guys I'm thinking of getting a c922 but I can't find it in stock in Canada and it is also double the price of the C920. Is it worth the upgrade? Or should I get the c922? My Webcams quality is not amazing that's why I want to upgrade I will not be doing a green screen is it worth upgrading to the c920 at all? Let me know what you think
Hello I am on the verge of getting the 20 Over the 22 because of all the reviews haha. Idk if the c922 functions properly on a chrome book though. Does the +30 Fps make a difference and if it did could I use the c922 on a chrome book?
I don't recall the C920 ever being better than the C922.
Like the other redditor said, I don’t recall the C920 ever being better then the C922. I do think there is a tiny difference, but it depends on if you think it is worth it. I find the C922 to be better quality and not easily get pixelated.
Please tell which is better and why
Toying with the idea of getting a webcam for my streams just because viewers have been asking about it. Curious if anyone has any experience with these webcams and can let me know if the C922 is worth it over the C920?
Depends on what you are going for... The c922 can do 1080p60, while the c920 can only do 1080p30. Chances are though, you are streaming at 720p60; so there is no need for you to have 1080p60. That is really the only difference between the two cameras. Both cameras have a 72 degree viewing angle.
Another option you have is the c930e. Like the c920, it can only do 1080p30, but it has a 90 degree viewing angle. That extra 18 degrees is extremely important if you want to fit more than one person on camera.

I would also throw in that if you want to use it's feature to personify without the need of a green screen (Logitech C922) then have a pretty up to date computer in terms of processor for it to work. Although I got mines out of box for 70$, I was disappointed that I couldn't use the personify feature due to my processor. But it's still a nice camera for streaming overall.
What is the difference between these two? I found them for the same price.
I've been searching for my first webcam, and see that there is a c922, c922x, and a c920S. Are any of these preferable to the c920 for streaming? I'm not using a green screen.
You don't need more than a C920 and some good lighting for streaming.
The C922x can do 720p60, so it has a higher frame rate than the C920. It also has a better low light sensor, so if you don't have good lighting, it won't be a blocky mess.
The C920s is just the C920 really, don't bother with this.
If you can spend the extra money or can find a C922x on sale, then the 720p60 would be better (sorta) for streaming than the C920.......only for the frame rate.
.....all those numbers, my god...
TLDR: The C920 is perfectly fine for streaming. Support it with good LED lights. If you find the C922 for comparable prices, then buy that one instead.
I have both a 922 and a 920, and the only reason I got the 922 was that the 920 is notorious for not working well if you get a second of the same model and there's a lot of compatibility problems with the software treating them as different pieces of hardware.
As best as I can tell, they're really the same camera. Save the 30 bucks and get the 920.
Should I get the Logitech c920 or c922? c922 supposedly handles lighting better and records at 60fps at 720p. Is that all worth getting over the c920, does 60fps really even help streaming? theres a big price difference between the two so I don't want to spend too much on the c922 if the difference is not really noticable
I’m trying to choose between these two webcams for streaming and I noticed the c922 tends to look almost too bright in all the videos i’ve seen. I didn’t want to choose one that will pick up every detail on my face so, Which webcam is sharper? and would the c920 make my face look less bright and more accurate?
Gonna buy one soon if i have now have a set up. Btw does both of it only get windows 8 to below? Not windows 10 or 11?
I need opinions on which webcam to buy. It’ll be used for streaming and video on discord with my buddies. Here’s my situation: everyone recommends C920, it’s cheaper and probably very reliable. However, the C922 is intriguing because (I think??) it’s the “newer” version. BUT, here’s the thing - I mostly play at night, and my girlfriend tends to turn the light low or off, which is why I’m leaning towards the Kiyo with the built in ring light. I don’t have any lights set up, and I watched a few videos and the Kiyo seemed better in low light settings. What are your opinions? (Assuming price difference doesn’t matter)
Hi! I would wanna know do you think its worth upgrade 920 to 922? I stream 720p and 60fps so that 60fps is really what i like. I just did see many post about c922 poor quality at 720p, its true or not?
it look very blurry if you switch to 60fps... unfortunately i dont know why, i really do not recommend this Cam. Stay on the C920 its much better as the 922
I purchased the C922 on cyber Monday ended up getting it half off. The quality I would say is similar, honestly didn't see any noticeable difference though I'm not experiencing the blurriness personally. With the 60fps there is definitely a reduction in shuttering why moving quickly. My main reason for buying was the background replacement feature since i didn't want to set up a green screen and as long as you have a solid (no tan or skin colored) wall behind you its a great feature. If you have the C920 and don't need the background replacement I'd say there's no reason to upgrade. My main influence for buying it was the price point at time of purchase and I'm all around happy with it so far.
So before I open the hunt myself on a webcam I decided to check here what you guys have/ or would suggest. Likes what should I look for in a webcam, min specs it should fit etc ( I presume Full HD quality).
So yeah let the suggestions come!
Best value for money IMO is the Logitech C920.
Haven't found one myself yet, that gives better (picture) quality for it's price.
I have the Logitech C920, definitely a good steal for its price. Good HD 1080p webcam with a minitripod attachment. Clear picture and has a built in mic but wouldnt suggest using that mic at all.
