Hi guys. So I've been trying to create 3D maps for a while now and I've got a little experience under my belt with it. I can easily create 3D maps using cadmapper.com and export them to rhino 7 where I can manipulate them accordingly. The only problem I have with this process is that cadmapper used Openstreetmaps which has a stupid issue of not displaying bridges correctly because it categorizes them as buildings.... Yeah, it doesn't make sense to me either. Another process I can use is with Blender using the OSM plugin but that yeilds basically the same result side is connecting to the same service. So that then leads me to using point clouds and DEM/DSM files. I can use QGIS to create a 3D map but the major issue I have here is the quality of the DEM files is usually quite low and/or is only topographical and so has no building data. Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can get decent DEM/DSM/DTM files for European cities containing building data so I can start building quality cityscape maps containing bridges so my maps actually look life-like? Hello, I need some 3D data for a site in North America, but CAD Mapper doesnt seem to have 3D buildings in the file it generated for me. Are there any alternative websites to get 3D data for the site?
