3d printing maps from CADMAPPER
Usually what you need to do is select and right click group and merge them I’m pretty sure. If it’s a topography included file then you won’t be able to do it
More on reddit.comHas anyone used CAD mapper to produce topographical and/or building files with any luck?

Hello. I am trying to make a topographic map of a section of Central Park I have to shade it in and make the terrain look natural. I am not sure how to do that. Can someone tell me what to do or send me a YouTube link? Thanks!
I have an issue with making a 3d print of a map that maybe others have already solved: In the tutorial here: https://blog.prusa3d.com/how-to-print-maps-terrains-and.../ is listed the software CADMAPPER.
When you extract the map and load into Sketchup there are geometries for roads and rivers, but I don't know how to take these irregular geometries and make them into solids that I can export as STLs (and then assign colors for the MMU). Has anyone a workflow to make the roads and rivers printable?

I was playing with it a while back but never took it all the way to completion. I found this guide from u/ImplodingCoding that seems to address this issue. I got to the Blender part but it was all new to me and I couldn't really figure it out at the time.
I've tried many different settings on the site with Autodesk Inventor 2017, Autocad 2012+2016 and Rhino 6, but I haven't had any luck turning the generated files into solids.
