The best option is a throat mic.
A throat mic literally rests against your voice box on your neck and picks up sound through the vibrations of your throat.
It's typically used in auto sports such as motorcycling or military applications. You can whisper and the throat mic will pick you up fairly clearly, or you can talk normally and the throat mic will pick you up, and mostly cut out the giant engine around you.
Something like this or this, depending on budget.
The extra $250 for the more expensive version is better in every way.
IDK what your budget is for something like this, but I love mine.
A design like this (with the sound tube, in-ear earpiece) will also work if you need to wear a hard hat and/or ear protection. You can get a hard hat with big noice-cancelling ear cups like this:
http://www.noisebuster.net/product/PA4200.html
They'll mount on almost any hard hat, and have a 3.5mm audio input option.
Then, you can use your throat mic as the "bluetooth accessory" and use the throat mic's microphone and 3.5mm audio output; plug a 3.5mm audio cable from the throat mic into the ear cups, and you will have sterio highly noise contained audio with drastically reduced external noise transmitted onto the call.

Hello fellow call center workers. I am looking for a wireless headset with a mute button. There are so many options out there Idk what to choose. Are there any that you would reccomend? Are there any that you would advise to avoid? I would prefer to spend under $100 USD.
I am currently using a wired headset and hate being chained to my desk by it.
Thank you for providing your insights!
Hi,
We are switching over to a cloud hosted PBX from on-prem PBX. With the transaction, we will be getting a softphone along with a desk phone. Currently we are using Poly (plantronics) CS540 as our primary wireless headset. It works great, but the headset tied to the IP Phone.
I want to look for a wireless headset to be use with PC in a Call Center environment with about 100 agents (open office). My fear is the bluetooth congestion might cause interference with all the BOYD we have in the office. Any suggestion?
Budget is around $100/headset and need to be able to travel roughly 150ft.
While I don’t have experience with the Plantronics CS540, I do see they have a usb adapter so you can directly connect the CS540 base to a computer via a usb cable. This is about a $60USD option. ref: https://www.headsetsdirect.com/product/plantronics-ehs-cable-apu-76-usb-pc/ Not cheap in my opinion, but would leverage the existing fleet of CS540 you currently have.
