A collection of videos within the public domain in the United States. I found most of them on the Internet Archive, so I can assume that they are indeed public domain; but if it turns out they aren't, I will be more than willing to take any video down if the copyright holder insists.

Just wanted to share my YouTube channel where I am uploading public domain movies. I currently have over 100 movies on there, with more being uploaded every day.
My channel is Miles Public Domain classics
If you have any requests for movies that are in the public domain (specifically public domain the United States), that a copy exists of, that I don't have on my channel yet, feel free to request them. I will try to get a copy of those movies uploaded to my channel.
I hope anyone who watches any movies on my channel enjoys doing so. Also if you like my channel, I would appreciate if you shared it with others. That way more people can ge to enjoy some of those movies as well.
If advertising my YouTube channel is not allowed here, I will remove this post.
Edit: I also want to add that I don't add a channel watermark onto any of the movies I upload, unlike some similar channels do. I have a YouTube channel watermark enabled, but not one that is added to the uploaded video itself.
I want each movie on my channel to be made available in its original form. Also that way those who want to download and/or share an original copy of each movie can do so without needing to edit out any logos or watermarks.
Second edit: I also want to engage with my subscribers, you all here in this subreddit and anyone elde interested in my channel and some of the movies I share, as much as possible. This will of course get harder if my channel gets popular and as a result also lots of comments, but I'll certainly try even then. Few other similar channels like mine that are popular seem to respond to even just a few comments or interact with their subscribers much.

Any chance you do reccomendations? I would for instance like to maybe see some more obcure and foreign fims (the ones that are harder to find), and maybe some films on the last Sight and Sound-poll released in the public domain (the ones which had their copyright lapsed off course) https://www.bfi.org.uk/sight-and-sound/greatest-films-all-time

Public domain movies
If a piece of content is entirely in the public domain, you should be able to upload it in its entirety.
However:
It doesn't mean that the copyright holder agrees with you that it is in the public domain.
That doesn't mean you won't get claims against it, which you may have to dispute.
So, in theory, yes. In practice, don't be surprised if you run into difficulties, which you should probably be able to resolve via the dispute and counternotification process if it goes that far.
