I remember a few years ago that you use to be able to just pay a smaller fee and get JUST the video part of Amazon Prime. It was like an option they buried in menus and didn't advertise. But I can't find it now. Did they do away with that option?
And wasn't there something in the news about Prime Video and Amazon Prime splitting up?

Hi, I'm seeing a prime member only discount on a title I want to watch (and keep). If later down the road, I cancel my prime subscription, would I be able to access the title still? What if I am traveling and would like to watch it somewhere else, would that work too? I have not upgraded my account to ads-free. Would I get ads even if I watch content I have *bought*?
Thanks in advance!
I also hopped on the band wagon of cancelling prime because I was no longer getting 2-day shipping, so I figured what is the point.
Yesterday, I made my first purchase without my prime account. I bought a treadmill, so I was still able to get prime shipping because it was over $35. However, it wasn’t supposed to be here until Saturday, so 3 days to arrive.
Well, shortly after I placed the order I got an email it was shipped, and I just saw the order is only 2 stops away. So I actually got next day shipping for the first time in FOREVER, but it wasn’t until after I cancelled my prime account.
I'm sure most heard that if you live in a separate household and were sharing prime benefits through one account that such services are ending because Amazon wants you to get your own membership. Don't plan on doing that because that's way too expensive for how little I buy from them anymore. I'm curious though if I can still get a Prime Video account once this new rule takes effect? A show I like is only video Prime Video and my plan is to get it for as long as the season goes on for and then just cancel it again but is it possible to have just a Prime Video subscription?
