Want to make a big purchase, wondering if I can apply for a Microcenter credit card (get it approved) and use it the same day in-store pick up.
I have the card. Its backed by Wells Fargo, and you can NOT use it at Microcenter to reserve items online for pickup. Oddly enough. You must register with a regular CC, and you can finalize the payment with your Microcenter CC.
You get 5% off a purchase OR 6 months interest free financing, you must choose at point of purchase.
The downside I see for purchases are where Visa will double your manufacturer's warranty, this one does not, and the sales people push warranties with every emsignificant purchase that cost much more than the 5% discount.
Can I apply online and use it in store the same day?
Basically the title. I'd like to make a credit card payment while at micro center, is that possible? I know it is with other retailers like Home Depot. Thanks for the help!
In a couple days, I’m going to purchase a decent number of things. I was wondering if getting the credit card is worth it for the 5%, given I could pay it off immediately? Are there any cons to getting this card?
There’s a couple other things I’m concerned about. I won’t be able to buy these things myself since i won’t be near a microcenter for a while. I’m planning on giving the card to some friends so they can purchase what I need (I’m upgrading something, my friends are building a computer, we’re exchanging parts). Is this fine if I’m not physically there? Could they pick up the card for me / use a digital version of it in my place?
I was just approved for a microcenter store credit card after applying online and it is managed through wells fargo. I received an email with my card number and the email mentioned I can begin using the card in store right away. I attempted to enroll in a wells fargo account so I can mange the card online through the link from the microcenter website where I applied for the card and the website does not recognize my card number. I tried calling wells fargo (the number that the microcenter website provided me with) and they can't recognize my card number either.
Do I have to wait for the card to come in the mail before I can enroll in online or is there another portal where I can manage the card? Or is there just no way to manage the card online and I have to rely on paper statements when I use the card?
