r/malefashionadvice on Reddit: Advice on Khakis at a Wedding
February 25, 2017 -

My friend is getting married late June amd advised that the attire should be smart but casual, no fancy suits etc. My wife has purchased a navy blue dress and some pink heels. I was thinking of going with Khakis, Oxfords, a shirt and a tie. I was thinking a tie with navy blue stripes would be good. Help appreciated.

Answer (1 of 2): If it’s a casual wedding, yes, absolutely -I’ve been to many beachy or outdoor park weddings - or a barbeque in the back yard of a home, a barn reception - where that would be totally fine.

September 28, 2023 -

I got a khaki suit tailored some time ago and was wondering if I can wear it during a summer wedding? I've got some dark brown shoes and maybe will wear a white shirt (not sure about the tie..navy blue?)

FYI, its in Croatia and the city is next to the sea so there's that beach summer vibe going.
