Decor-rest furniture

Little bit more expensive than your typical crap from your big box stores but you’re paying for solid wood construction and every piece is custom made to order. They don’t have a pre-made inventory.

We’ve had 3 couches fall apart on us over the past 20 years and got fed up with it and told our sales person exactly that. They led us straight to the Decor-rest line. The showroom had an armchair that was only half upholstered on display. It was heavy and you could see all the bracing and supports in it.

I don’t think I’ve seen a negative review.

If you want to help the local economy over the short term, you could buy local. If you want to help the local economy over the long term, buy the product that provides the best value to you. Since we started trading with China in the 80's, over 600 million Chinese have risen out of extreme poverty. (extreme = short and hard lives with little shelter or food) China is now a significant part of our economic strength and helps fuel our economy and social programs. (it also makes it harder for Chinese politicians to start a war with a western country) Rewarding uncompetitive businesses can actually hurt the local economy because it keeps them uncompetitive. (think of the bubble RIM seemed to live inside) Buy a product because it's the best. Not because it's local. If you saved money, you can spend it on more great services and products.
