Personally have the Triangle World Elite MasterCard, I think it's worth it. I don't use it as a primary card but has been pretty good for purchases at CT owned stores. My local CT has a fantastic garden centre that we buy from annually. Plus, card can be used at stores like Mark's that we do go to from time to time. The killer feature of a CT credit card is the bill pay function. Paying property tax and getting rewards for doing so is amazing. No other way of paying property tax would net you rewards. Lastly, the World Elite MasterCard comes with free roadside assistance, that in itself is also worth it. As for cancelling, well whatever damage to your credit is already done at time of application, so cancelling or not isn't going to make a huge difference unless this card constitutes a large portion of your overall available credit. As for data collected, that's just the standard info for a credit card application, nothing out of the ordinary tbh. Canadian Tire Financial Services is part of Canadian Tire Bank which is owned by Canadian Tire. Store sales are incentivized to sign people up, unfortunately as long as a store has their own credit card, you'll see sales pushing them.
