Hi all,
YouTube Tv is offering a free trial for 5 days but want a credit card on file. If I cancel within the 5 day period, will they charge me for any services? Is there some catch?
Thanks
I'm trying to cancel my youtubetv account as it's necessary to help fund my daughter's new driver's insurance. I'm following the instructions from Google search and I keep winding up back at the start. It's like a virtual DMV. Funny how it takes next to nothing to sign up for it, but canceling? Not so much. Can I get real instructions from someone that won't force me to change payment to a credit card with no credit?
Edit: the consensus seems to be that I cancel through the website only with a computer.
Consider that despite signing up with the service through my google acct on my phone only needed my thumbprint.
For me to cancel I now have either use my computer at work or take my laptop running with a Linux os, completely independent of google, to untangle myself from a service that didn't initially even want to cancel but had to, due ti financial obligations.
Also- I love that preventing identity theft seems to be much enforced when it's time to cancel. The thumbprint isn't enough smoke security now. I guess one never knows if a scourge of dubious hackers steal identites...
...so they can cancel people's cable subscriptions ...mu hu hu ha ha!
To those well meaning folks who say I just have go to manage google account then manage subscriptions, I've done all of that multiple times having 8 chrome windows open on my galaxy s22.
I am far from a techy person - believe me - but I have been able to tinker with laptops to allow experimenting with installing and uninstalling different operating systems for funsies. And yet they are still operational, so I think I'd get one task accomplished.

Started a 7day trial for an add-on, but don't want to keep it.
When you cancel the trial, is it immediate, or you keep it for the full 7 days?
TIA.
I wanted to try YT live TV so I signed up for the free trial. After a few days I did not like it and would like to cancel the free trial so that I will not get charged once it is up. I cannot seem to find how to do that as it does not give me any options. I signed up through them directly so there is no third party to go through. Any suggestions?
Hello all,
I recently made a whole new google account with no recovery options (stupid I know) for a free trial of YouTube TV. Well I forgot the password to the account, and my card is hooked up to it. How can I cancel the trial? I’m only signed onto the account on a TV, which I can’t make any account changes on. I tried the support chat and they can’t cancel the trial since I’m not signed into the email.
TLDR: Made YT TV account for trial forgot password before I can cancel. Only have the email and card info how do I cancel?
Edit: it seems the only way would be to cancel/reissue the card. Which I would like to avoid, I have a couple of days if anyone has any other ideas.
Hello, I was just wondering if I could start the 14 day free trial and then cancel it without charge. Thanks.
I'm sure everyone's tired of these questions, but im just so confused. This current trial will have my local nfl games and mlb playoffs right? Also, when i purchase this trial, am i locked in for the 3 months, still paying 70 whatever but 21 days free? Or can i cancel before the first real charge?
Hi,
I am looking to cancel my YoutubeTV subscription. I usually get billed on the 27th every month (Sometimes it's the 28th). I would like to maintain my account until Sunday, January 27th 11:59pm to watch the NFL playoffs.
Does anyone know if I can cancel after the 2nd game Sunday night and not be charged for the month of February? Would Customer service refund me?
Thanks
Hello! I just activated a 1 month trial of Youtube premium (I have a student subscription). Can I cancel this instantly without anything bad happening? Thank you for the answers.
I got a subscription to watch one thing and instead of cancelling after the free trial, I paused it. I noticed after being charged twice. After talking to customer service, I had both charges cancelled, although I had to speak with them twice. If you make this same mistake, make sure to speak with customer service. Saved myself $160
Starting the subscription was easy. It had zero problem with me Adding subscriptions or buying the subscription but I can’t cancel because it sends me in circles.
I go through YouTube tv app settings and go to membership and it tells me to go to tv.YouTube on the web to manage, I go there and it tells me “Please use the YouTube TV iOS app to watch YouTube TV on your mobile device” and nothing else.
How do I cancel this? I don’t have a computer and I haven’t found a way to reach support
I decided to give YoutubeTV a shot, not realizing that it wouldn't work properly on firetv, so I signed up for the trial but now need to cancel. No problem, I thought.
Step 1 - I attempted to cancel through the app on my iPhone. It directs me to the website.
Step 2 - Go to the website ( I don't have a computer I can access YouTubetv on, so I'm using chrome on my iPhone), it forces me to the app.
Step 3 - After deleting the app, I am able to get to the tv.youtube.com site to cancel. According to support, I click on my name and manage subscriptions. I cannot click on my name though. I'm logged in and the only option it gives me is to select another account or sign out.
Step 4 - I go to Google payments to attempt to cancel there. I see the subscriptions and click "manage subscriptions", which forces me back to step 3 and I'm unable to cancel.
I signed up for this service in less than a minute. I've been spent the past hour trying to cancel. It feel needlessly complicated and intentionally difficult. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to cancel this account through an iPhone?
