This looks like the noise reduction Canon was applying in the EOS R5. It's not necessarily a big deal, since these very darkest tones are near unusably noisy anyway, but it is a factor in how the R6 II can appear to perform so well. Here are our ISO 6400 and ISO 200 + 5EV images from the ISO Invariance test... The EOS R6 II arrives in one of the most competitive parts of the market, facing off against some very capable competition. We think it rises to the challenge.

Canon also now says the shutter has been durability tested to 500,000 actuations. We're not used to Canon explicitly giving a figure for a camera at this level. The Canon EOS R6 III gains the ability to record Raw video internally at up to 7K/60 in Canon's proprietary Canon Cinema Raw format. The EOS R6 III did well at almost every test we put it through, from shooting stills to filming several videos.

Would buying the R6 be a mistake?

The R6 is a complete piece of crap. Everyone knows that when a new model comes out, the previous models become potatoes, and every photo taken in the past is now utter garbage and an assault on your vision. /s No it won't be a mistake. It's one of the best cameras ever made. It will exceed your skill level for many years, if not decades to come. Don't get hung up on what the talking heads on YouTube say, buying any camera that works within your budget is not a mistake. A camera doesn't become obsolete just because a new one with more bells and whistles comes out. YouTubers are paid to make you think slightly older gear is obsolete, when it isn't. Canon R6 MkII: Can this be my "do it all" camera? Sell me or scare me!

Yes. Was an R shooter with the R6 as my video main. Upgraded to the R5 and the R6II. You will not be disappointed. Other than the resolution being higher on the R5, it’s a beast at everything . AF is amazing, locks on. Color is great from Auto profile all the way to 6K RAW external. FAST FAST FAST. When you feel it go full ES or even mechanical vs the R… it’s sex. Superb. Sharp. The 24mp beats the 30mp in the R in every way, especially when paired with newer high end L EF or RF glass. Can’t go wrong and prices are stupid low right now. More on reddit.com

Seeing as how Jordan shot the entire thing hand-held I gotta say i'm impressed with that IBIS and overheating or not that footage looks crisp. Edit: ya I shoulda mentioned it was shot on the R5, they only have one R5 and one R6 so the R5 review will probably be shot on the R6 More on reddit.com
