I saw it on Amazon for around 1000$ and wondered if it will be a good buy.
I'm a beginner and I want to shoot short films with a group of friends. So I wanted to invest in a good camera to get the visuals.
I'm using my pixel 8pro right now for the videos but I want go a little further and look into color grading. So I thought having a good camera would help with it.
Any help would be great, thank you.

For video you would be better with a Canon R7 The 4k video quality and autofocus is much better and there is no 30 min limit on all video, the R7 also has IBIS. with the EF/RF adaptor there is a huge choice of old EF/efs Canon lenses, inexpensive. The RP was pretty basic when it was released back in 2018, as a budget, entry level stills camera, it re-cycled the 26mp sensor from the Canon 6Dii dslr, this is a very 'avarage' sensor with limited dynamic range compared to better Canon sensors, although it is 26mp 'on paper' it does not resolve any more detail than the 20mp sensor from an R6 or 1Dxiii, that have far better dynamic range/ high ISO performance. And with new cameras being released, the secondhand prices drop of older cameras, The EOS R is a better camera than the RP, much better (30mp) sensor for stills based on the 5Div, prices have come right down but would not be my first choice for video though.

I have a Canon 600D with an ASPC sensor, and I wanted to get a FF camera. All of my lenses are EF mounts, that's why I am looking for a canon.
I've been thinking about the 5D m iv, but then I saw the EOS R and got in love with it. They cost almost the same, what is the better camera?
Is it still a good camera despite it's age?
Edit: I shoot a lot of landscape, portraits, macro, and some wildlife photos.

It sounds like for your use case the Eos R could be a good fit. Battery life will not be as good as a Dslr like the 5DIV though. What kind of lenses are you using with your current setup, EF-S or EF? On the comparison to the R6 you could possibly score one during Black Friday for a great deal, I think they were selling Canon refurbished ones for $1300-$1400 earlier this year so I imagine we will see similar deals. It really depends on if you’d prefer the higher 30mp sensors of the R or 5DIV or you’d be okay with the 20 on the R6.

It will still be good until November of 2023 but will be completely obsolete on December 1st. Be advised.
