That Amazon listing is not sold by Canon, Amazon just puts the "visit the Canon store" button on listings of Canon items. And Amazon's "Canon store" is just a collection of Canon product listings sold by Amazon or other sellers, not officially sold by Canon. That G7X II listing for $1429 is sold by "iPro Photo" which has mixed reviews. I looked up their website but it's currently down for "maintenance", and I couldn't find any other info on the company. It seems super sketchy. Also, can we talk about how buying a G7X II for nearly $1500 US Dollars is insane? The G7X II was released all the way back in 2016 for $700. Even adjusting for inflation that's equivalent to $950 today. Paying 50% above the equivalent launch price, or 100% above the original launch price, for a 9 year old model is absolute madness. I own one and bought it new in 2018. I've had no issues with it. I regularly (or only) use it on vacations, birthdays and holidays. It takes great shots and with my usage, battery life has been good. I also have and still occasionally use the G9 X which I bought in 2016. That's a great pocket camera when I'm walking around town or boardwalk. More on reddit.com
