EOSHD C-LOG and Film Simulation Picture Profiles for Canon - EOSHD.com - Filmmaking Gear and Camera Reviews
May 6, 2024 - I have for months been fine tuning the EOSHD C-LOG Picture Profile on my 1D C, so that all other Canon DSLRs can benefit from it as well. The only difference is that the official Canon 1D C LOG mode has a bit more latitude in the highlights, but they are VERY similar! Also in the deal are a set of ...

Explaining Most of the Things About Canon Log (C-Log) to Get You Started in Filmmaking | Fstoppers
November 23, 2024 - My general approach is to first set my aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, then fine-tune the exposure using an ND filter if necessary to avoid overexposure. For underexposed scenes, I’ll either introduce additional lighting or, as a last resort, increase the ISO to balance the exposure. Assuming you've enabled recording in Log format on your camera, let's dive into how to expose footage correctly when shooting with Canon C-Log or any Log profile.

Demystifying Canon Log 3: Capture Stunning Footage with Your Canon Camera — Pozo Production
December 15, 2025 - C-Log 3 Activation: Navigate to the red menu (camera icon) and enable C-Log 3. On the Canon R6 mark ii, it’s on page 5. Live View: Enable for a Rec.709 preview, but remember, this can be inaccurate when exposing to the right. So I don’t use it, and instead use other exposure tools to help me. Picture Profile: I add sharpness (+3) in-camera to save editing time. I find the image too soft at the default setting.

Custom Picture / Canon Log setting when shooting R... - Canon Community
February 16, 2024 - It looks like you're perfectly correct; the settings in the "Canon Cinema RAW Light Source Settings" panel determine, after the fact, how the RAW data is treated by Premiere Pro. I wasn't seeing this because I always shoot Log, and by default Premiere treats the RAW from the R5C as Log 2. So applying my normal de-log LUT in an adjustment layer worked. So your premise is correct; in RAW shooting, at least as far as Log goes, what you record is not affected by the picture profile.
