August 8, 2025 - EDIT 1 hour later: I was on a chat with Canon support and he seems to think my USB dongle is not sending the info correctly. My Mac only has C ports and the only printer cables I have are B, so I have it connected through a dongle. Only one of the B ports on the dongle makes the computer recognize the printer so the support person thinks it is not sending all the info it needs to to install the printer.
