There are SO many LUTS available for download on Canon's website and I can't make sense of most of them. Which one should I use with my R5 if I am shooting C-LOG 3 and Rec709? I want a nice starting point to then begin my color grading. Thank you! More on dpreview.com

I found an older version of the LUT file from Canon and this one has Cinema clog (1) LUTs. Solved, I suppose?

I don't understand why the latest version doesn't have these. I also don't understand why they're not on the Canon USA site. Also Premiere Pro has a directory named "CanonLog" that has .bin files that it won't even open in its own Lumetri color effect. Whaaaaa?

I’m not sure why people are bashing cinema gamut. You get more dynamic range and greater flexibility with colors. As far as doing any color or lighting adjustments, don’t use color space transform, that will degrade the overall quality of the colors, similar to using luts You want to use color management. You need to activate it by going to the project settings>color management > under “color science” dropdown choose “DaVinci YRGB color managed”, next deselecte automatic color management, next under “color processing mode” drop down select “HDR DaVinci wide gamut intermediate”, finally select the output color space as Rec709.A for apple and Rec709 Gamma 2.4 for windows. I know that’s a lot but you can save it as a preset and default. The last step is to go to your media tab and then select all of the clips captured under a certain profile and right click to show the options and go to “input color space” then select “canon cinema gamut canon Log3” It will automatically convert all selected clips to roughly the same colors that your viewfinder had if you have the viewfinder assist on in your camera. You can now go to the color tab and make adjustments to color and lighting. The advantage of this is you don’t have to download any luts, you don’t have to apply any luts directly onto log footage, and if you are using different profile, like either clog3 in BT2020 or Rec709 all you have to do is select those clips and then select that option in the “input color space” option. This is extremely handy for if you’re working especially with different brand cameras like Sony. You can very quickly convert SLog3 footage to Rec709 and CLog3 to Rec709 and the colors will be consistent across both camera’s footage More on reddit.com
