When I check the specs, canon R5 marks every box a photographer needs both for action and landscape plus much better video specs. The only thing that I can think is that Nikon Z7II doesn't overheat as soon as R5 but that is because of giving lower resolution 4k in general. The low ISO 64 is nice but not a deal breaker for me or not too important. It is nice to have. Am I missing something else? And not Z9... More on dpreview.com

They're both extremely capable higher end bodies. You can't go wrong either way really, with the specs readily available online for you to compare. Bottom line, when you're spending that kind of money, your opinion/satisfaction is the only one that matters. Is this your first camera? If so, I'd strongly recommend something cheaper, with both companies offering far more affordable options. More on reddit.com
