It sounds like for your use case the Eos R could be a good fit. Battery life will not be as good as a Dslr like the 5DIV though. What kind of lenses are you using with your current setup, EF-S or EF? On the comparison to the R6 you could possibly score one during Black Friday for a great deal, I think they were selling Canon refurbished ones for $1300-$1400 earlier this year so I imagine we will see similar deals. It really depends on if you’d prefer the higher 30mp sensors of the R or 5DIV or you’d be okay with the 20 on the R6. More on reddit.com
