Why do all languages call the capital of Argentina "Buenos Aires" but the capital of Mexico "Ciudad de Mexico" is translating into the speaker's language?
Argentinian here, i think its because there is no good translation for Buenos Aires, Cuidad is easy to translate, Berlin on the other hand is always called Berlin for the same reason as BSAS. Saludos! More on reddit.com

Argentinian Specific Terms and language
Argentinian Spanish was very influenced by Italian immigration, more so than other Latam countries. That's why our vocabulary has a lot of Italian loan words that we use on daily basis, something very distinctive of Argentina. For example, in informal situations we use "laburar" (to work) and "laburo" (job, work) (from Italian's laboro), instead of the most commonly used "trabajar". "Capo" for a cool person (it can be used as a greeting too "¿qué hacés, capo?" -> "how are you doing, bud?") "Facha" or "fachero/a" to describe a good-looking person (from faccia). And the list goes on. We have a lot of slang words that we refer to as "lunfardo". If you look up that word, you'll find lots of examples. Endearments: Between family-> To your wife/husband: amor, bebé, lindo/a. To your children: nene (boy), nena (girl). Between friends-> To a man: groso, capo, genio. To a woman: grosa, capa, reina, genia, etc. Insults: We have some of the most colorful expletives you'll ever find. We have some sort of talent to transform any word into an insult. Some of our softer insults are related to food (banana, salame, papa frita... all of those mean dumb). We have the iconic "pelotudo" (imbecile) and "boludo" (fool, softer than pelotudo, can be used as an insult or an endearment). "Ay, (la) puta madre" is like "fuck", and when we get really angry, we pull out the "lrcdtpmylpqtrmp" short for "la reconcha de tu puta madre y la puta que te re mil parió", which embodies much more emotion. "La concha de la lora" is a classic, too. Grammar: In terms of grammar, we do something that's very rare for Spanish speakers. We use "vos" instead of "tú", and that changes most of the verbs conjugations. This is known as "voseo", and it's mostly an Argentinian and Uruguayan thing. Pronunciation: In terms of pronunciation, we are said to speak very rythmically, almost like singing (special mention to cordobés accent). We also speak very fast, especially in Buenos Aires. We pronounce the "LL" and "Y" VERY strongly. Other countries pronounce it softly as in Yoghurt, but we pronounce it as in SHack. We also have something very iconic of Argentina, the interjection "che", which means "hey", when we want to get someone's attention. I have more to say, but I better shut up ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ More on reddit.com
