Hi guys I need to download the Capital One app for my ZFold 2 but it is not supported in Play Store. I'm sure it would work just fine if I downloaded it.
Does anyone know how I can force the Play Store to let me download and install the app? The US version of the app downloads and works fine though it is a different app to the UK version which is the one that I need. It is not possible to login to the US app with a UK account.
Without the app I apparently am unable to set up direct debits to pay off my credit card! Any advice is appreciated.
I moved to Europe and got a new phone. Having trouble adding my Capital One card to Google Pay wallet. Added my card on the Google Wallet app, then it wants to verify with the bank. Clicked on the Capital One application link, that took me into the digital wallet manager to confirm (used primary account holder login). When I try to confirm the card it gave me an error message "we hit a snag". I called Capital One customer service and they told me that there is no way to add the card from overseas. I won't be flying back to the US anytime soon and I cannot believe that I have to carry my physical card with me because I cannot add it while I'm out of the US. I should also mention that I tried this process with and without VPN on and got the same result. Does anyone have a good work around for adding the card from overseas?
I was recently approved for a Capital One SavorOne card but had to leave for Thailand before receiving it. Once there, I asked a family member in the U.S. to open the envelope and send me a photo of the card details. However, every time I tried adding the card to Apple Wallet, I kept getting an error saying it couldn’t be added!
I tried everything:
• Using a VPN to connect to the U.S. over Wi-Fi and mobile data. • Disabling location services for the Capital One app. • Adding the card through my Mac.
Nothing worked!
Finally, I found a solution: I purchased a U.S.-based eSIM and activated international roaming on it. With the eSIM active, I entered the card details in Apple Wallet, and it directed me to open the Capital One app. This time, it worked! I was finally able to add the card, even from abroad!
If you’re facing a similar issue, using a U.S.-based eSIM with roaming might just be the answer!
I used the Tello Esim service.
Has anyone found a reliable way to login to CapitalOne's website or app while abroad? Mine requires sending a code to my US number (which is inconvenient or impossible while out of the US), and the customer service says there's nothing they can do. I'm probably going to cancel the card because of this, but want to see if there's a work around first. Thanks!
I was recently in the UK for some travel, and while I was there I was primarily using my Venture X and Savor One for all my purchases, which was great because Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted, and there's not foreign transaction fees. I had no issues whenever I made purchases in person using my card, or Apple Pay.
However, when I was making a couple of online purchases (train tickets and concert tickets) I had to go through capital one's SMS verification and verify the purchase. There was no option to verify through the Capital One App. This was perfectly fine because I was paying for an international plan, and could receive SMS. However, for future trips, I might buy local SIM cards for the destination that I'm traveling to, and might not be able to easily do SMS verification. Does anyone know of any work around for the SMS verification? Or is there a way to add a potential international number to the verification list or use the app?
Of course I always travel with cards from other issuers, so I'll have a backup plan, but I wanted to see if anyone had experienced this, or found any solutions. Thanks!
Edit: Seems like Google Voice is the best option to make sure you can receive SMS verification as long as you have an internet connection. Thanks for all the suggestions/feedback.
