I have a 360 account and I noticed today they have new wording on their website that says the following:
“For certain banking products we offer, fees assessed at any ATM within the United States and at some ATMs located outside the United States will be reimbursed within 5 business days, up to $15 per statement period.”
It’s been a while since I used my 360 debit card for withdrawing cash internationally but I keep it for this reason. Can anyone say if they have used it recently internationally and had fees refunded ? Does anyone know the fine print behind this change ?
I called capital one but I couldn’t really get a clarification from them.

I’m pretty sure that’s isn’t a feature of the online-only (360) checking. Its likely for a product they only offer in their branches and it would have a $15+ monthly fee or ability to waive it with high balances/high direct deposit. Fidelity and Schwab both offer unlimited ATM reimbursements on their checking but they both pay close to 0.1% interest.

Where does it say that on the website? This might be a game changer! I've been reluctant to use capital one due to their lack of ATM reimbursements but they're known for having amazing everything else like website and app and stuff.

Its bc some merchants switched to their own atms bc i used to go to 7 eleven bc they have money pass but the same 7 eleven charged me atm fee and i was wondering why turns out they switched to a different atm but dont inform cap one or ppl in general luckily PNC bank takes capital one with no fees

I used an Allpoint ATM that the app directed me to. It said there was a fee, but I assumed Capital One pays it. Then it showed up on my statement. I asked them what would anyone use an ATM for other than a cash advance for no fee. They did not have a good answer but told me to call back in a few days after it's finalized to try again.
I feel like this is going to be another class action lawsuit against them for advertising no fee to use Allpoint ATMS in the app that they direct us to, then charging us anyway.

I used the Fidelity debit card at a Capital One bank ATM this weekend to withdraw some cash. To my surprise, I was not charged any additional ATM fee. I get reimburesed anyways, but still surprised. I wonder if it was just this particular ATM that was not set to charge a fee or is there any partnership with Fidelity and Capital One?

some companies just don’t charge a fee to use their ATMs. and since fidelity doesn’t charge a fee to use ATMs, you don’t see any extra fees at all for that transaction

I’ve noticed Allpoint ATMs don’t charge a fee from my CMA debit card. I always assumed it probably saves Fidelity (or their debit card administrator) more money in fee reimbursements than it costs to join Allpoint, which is one of the largest ATM networks in the US. I think some Capital One ATMs are part of that network? It’s also possible that ATM was just fee free (sometimes stores will pay for an ATM on site to be free to bring in foot traffic), and that my hypothesis about Allpoint is wrong.
