What is the account balance widget?
Do I need to download the Capital One Mobile app to use the account balance widget?
How can I view my balance and recent transactions?
Hey everyone, hope you can help me out here cause I'm baffled. Sorry if this has been asked before.
My wife has a Capital One card and she likes to throw money at the card a couple of times a month to pay down the statement balance so we don't get charged interest.
Now, for some reason, (I didn't know this until she told me) Capital One doesn't seem to give you an updated statement balance based on credits received, or payments made throughout the billing cycle. When you go to the bill pay option it just shows you your full statement balance, not including credits or payments. My wife has to literally calculate the amount of returns, and the amount of payments, and subtract it from the total statement balance for the month. Then she has to use the "other amount" option and pay the calculated difference. Shouldn't Capital One just automatically do this for you?
I have used Chase card for years, and Chase updates my remaining statement balance throughout the month if I make payments or if I make merchandise returns, etc. When I go to pay, I just choose "remaining statement balance" and go about my day.
Does Capital One really expect customers to track these transactions (credits, payments, etc) and calculate the remaining statement balance? Or am I just not looking in the right place for the remaining statement balance in the Capital One app?
Thanks for the help!
I stopped using my Capital One card a little while ago (so my balance was $0) and I happened to recently get a $200 refund for something that was purchased with it. So now I have a -$200 balance and a -$3 rewards (cash back) balance.
Can I just request a check from Capital One for $197 (the -$200 balance minus the $3 rewards)? Or is it better to just use it again for a few upcoming purchases even though I don't want to and I have better cards now?
My plan has been to make a purchase on the card every six months or so just to keep it active since it's my oldest account by far.
Can someone who has faced this before provide some guidance?
Thanks!
So I looked on the app and I don't see my quicksilver or savorone card balance on the app or even logged into the website, all I see is my checking and savings accounts. This has to just be an issue with their systems because I have 100% payment history and they had like 500+ balance on both cards I need to pay off soon but they aren't there. Anyone else not see it?
