I have a 360 account and I noticed today they have new wording on their website that says the following:
“For certain banking products we offer, fees assessed at any ATM within the United States and at some ATMs located outside the United States will be reimbursed within 5 business days, up to $15 per statement period.”
It’s been a while since I used my 360 debit card for withdrawing cash internationally but I keep it for this reason. Can anyone say if they have used it recently internationally and had fees refunded ? Does anyone know the fine print behind this change ?
I called capital one but I couldn’t really get a clarification from them.
Does Capital One charge ATM fees or surcharges?
Does Capital One charge foreign transaction fees at ATMs?
How long does it take for cash to deposit through a Capital One ATM?
just went to take out money at an atm listed on the capital one app, but it said there was a $3.50 fee. does capital one reimburse for this, or do they just not take it out of my account upon withdrawal? thanks!
Somehow, I just relieazied, I did not pay attention to the fees.
I have review a lot posts, most recommend to withdrawal yen from ATM in the airport, instead of exchange the currency while you still in your own country, in my case, US.
I only have bank of american debit card and credit card. there is 3% international transcation fee, and I don't see any Japanese partner ATM. In this case, if I use my BOA debit card to withdrawal Yen from ATM in Narrita airport, I will be charged to ATM fee and 3% international transcation fee.
It sounds a lot.
So i review few posts about withdrawal from international ATM.
few people mentioned Capital One 360 and Charles Schwab, that no annual fee, no ATM withdrawal fee (they will refund ATM fee??? and you can withdrawal from any ATM anywhere without any fee???) and no forgein internation transcation fee.
I just want get more detail information from who own/used them. Really no fee at all??????? Any restriction or hide fee????? or hide fee to open an account???
If so, which one do you recommend ?
I used an Allpoint ATM that the app directed me to. It said there was a fee, but I assumed Capital One pays it. Then it showed up on my statement. I asked them what would anyone use an ATM for other than a cash advance for no fee. They did not have a good answer but told me to call back in a few days after it's finalized to try again.
I feel like this is going to be another class action lawsuit against them for advertising no fee to use Allpoint ATMS in the app that they direct us to, then charging us anyway.
So I'm pretty set on using Capital One's Checking account, but I'm curious about 2 things that could prevent that.
They say fee-free MoneyPass and AllPoint ATMs, but I've read the stores they're in can still charge a fee. It also says they are in select CVS, Target, Walgreens etc. Do any of those places allow you to withdrawal money without being charged by the store? Is there any way to get cash with no fees at all without a capital one ATM or branch near you?
I've bin told a few times not to deposit checks with large amounts (say 1.5k+) through mobile apps as they may not accept it, or give other problems. Has anyone had problems depositing larger checks through the Capital One App?
Any input on these questions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!
