Why don’t people like the venture one card?
The problem with VentureOne is the 1.25X multiplier. This makes the card useless. You are much better off with a flat 2% card and using the cash back to fund your next trip. ChatGTP is terrible when it comes to credit cards. The Chase trifecta (CSP, CFF, and CFU) is a much better setup than the one it suggested because the Freedom cards' points can transfer to the CSP. September 18, 2023Capital one just offered me a Venture one card but should I hold out for a venture X?
We actually just got this for the $250 + 75K Miles SUB. The normal Venture is "Good" not excellent. It got slightly better when they switched to MasterCard, which now includes certain trip protections and I believe Purchase protection. Better than none. It's a good catch-all card too, either home or outside of the country because of no FTF. Many of the popular catch-all cards have FTF. I've also seen that because the Venture is considered its own product, you could get the Venture X down the line and get another SUB. (That's our plan too) More on reddit.com

but nobody talks about how high the interest rates are on these so-called rewards cards. If you're paying in full, why would the interest rates matter? I own dozens of cards and I truthfully don't know any of the interest rates on any of them. If you are paying interest on any card, you shouldn't use credit cards in general. My research has brought my to citi custom cash and amex blue cash perferred as potential options after we close out our captiol one. Both are top cash back cards. I think you should probably fill out the template for better recommendation. It's all about how much you spend a month/year and what your desired outcome and existing ecosystem is. More on reddit.com

I have a chase sapphire preferred, discover it, and Wells Fargo platinum card. I am thinking about getting either the savor one or the venture one card. I generally prefer travel benefits to Cashback, but I’m still learning how to compare these benefits so I’m not sure.
It does seem like the venture one would pair better with my existing cards. Chatgpt agrees lol, and suggested that I use the discover it card for rotating Cashback categories, the venture one for everyday expenses, and the chase sapphire preferred for travel expenses. And keep the Wells Fargo as a back up.
I asked it to make a plan if I switched out the venture one with the savor one, and it said to use the savor one for dining and entertainment.
It said based on the cards I have, the venture one would be the best to pick. Do y’all agree?

What is there to like about the VentureOne? It’s a very weak points earner with no real standout benefits. A CFU would pair better with your CSP.
