Cars and coffee has been mentioned. There are two of them http://www.columbuscarsandcoffee.com/ rotates its meeting place. I've never been to this one, but it seems to be largely exotics. http://columbuscarsandcoffee.net/ is at Lennox Town Center every week. I've been there a few times. It's a good mix of everything, tuners, exotics, muscle, trucks, and anything else. It's very much a "come as you are" sort of group. I'm not part of the tuner scene myself, but you might talk to the folks at Slowmotion Motorsports up in Sunbury. They can probably point you to some shows and get you in touch with some other local groups. If you're into classics/muscle/rods at all in early July (7th-9th this year) is the Good Guys show at the fairgrounds. Also for classics, there's the "Blast from the Past" show up in downtown Delaware usually toward the end of July. There's also Quaker Steak and Lube . They have a Wednesday night bike night, and do some car shows and things there too. Or hell, if you're bored just go to Jegs and hang out. They're on 11th ave right at I-71 If you're into racing the local chapter of the SCCA does autocross around Columbus There's Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course about an hour north of Columbus with a variety of track days, local and national events including Indy and NASCAR. For drag racing there's National Trail Raceway Marion County International Raceway Pacemakers Dragway Park KilKare Raceway Also, I forgot to mention, not really car club or show related, but you might check out the Honda Heritage Center over at the Honda plant in Marysville. Find car clubs, any of them. Different car cultures out there, so mingling in a few of them might help find your niche, be it a type of driving (off reading, cruising, drag strip...), a specific make (Chevrolet), a specific model (Camaro, Mustang, WRX), etc.

Don't be pressured to get the "cool" car as a ticket into a particular club or culture. There are plenty of people that love their so-called boring cars with all their heart. There's nothing wrong with slow or average or plain, as long as you love your car and all things associated.

Do you have a car? A good starting point may be clubs or groups dedicated to the make or model.
